I can't believe the spicy fish soup here is only 18 euros. Anywhere in Paris would be at least 30e for two peoples' portion. The hostess is from Wenzhou. She's very kind. We would like a tiny table but she insisted giving us a big table for 4. We explained that we had an opera to watch, then she gave us the food in 10 minutes. She also came to ask how we think of the food and if there is anything to improve. The location is really great, just 2 minutes walk from Bastille opera house. Will go every time when visiting bastille.

Quatre amis, nestled at 29 Rue de Charenton in the heart of Paris’s 12th arrondissement, offers an authentic dive into Sichuan and broader Chinese culinary traditions. This cozy restaurant strikes a balance between classical flavors and a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere—perfectly suited for both seasoned Chinese food lovers and curious newcomers.

The menu is thoughtfully curated, highlighting standout dishes such as the fiery Marmite Épicée de Sang et Abats Moxu Wang, intensely flavored Intestins Frits Épicés, and the irresistibly crispy Poulet Croustillant. Each plate bursts with Sichuan’s signature bold spices and complex aromas, true to their roots but executed with finesse. The Boeuf Sauté Aux Légumes and Nouilles Sautées offer comforting, well-balanced options, while the seafood-infused Nouilles Aux Crevettes adds a delicate, savory note. The spicy fish soup is a particular gem, richly spiced yet priced surprisingly affordably—a testament to the restaurant’s value and generosity.
